閂（かんぬき）を備えた独特のフォルムが魅力的な、庄内地方の小箪笥。
松竹梅や鶴亀といった伝統的な金具もよう紋様が多いなか、本品は錠金具に「菊大」の文字の紋様をあしらった一品です。
品のある黒塗りの佇まいに、どこか力感の抜けた模様が施されており、親しみやすい印象を与えます。
鍵はすべて自由錠仕様となっており、誤って施錠してしまう（インロック）心配もありません。
ソファやベッドの傍らに収まりやすい、使い勝手の良いサイズ感も魅力です。

A small chest from the Shonai region featuring a unique bar latch.
Instead of classic motifs like pine-bamboo-plum or cranes and turtles, the lock plate is accented with the characters "菊大" (Large Chrysanthemum). The gap between the elegant black lacquer and the relaxed pattern gives it a distinct charm.
Equipped with open-style locks, so you never have to worry about an accidental lockout.
Ideal in size for a side table beside your sofa or bed.
